Northern Star Scouting seeks a Payroll/HR Coordinator to compile and enter payroll data for outside processor; track I-9s, benefits, leave time; provide administrative HR support; manage compensation data in general ledger; enter daily deposit into online portal with once a week deposit of cash to bank branch.

The position is located in a beautiful, sunlight-filled, new facility at our Base Camp, in Fort Snelling near the MSP Airport.  Join us in making a difference in the lives of youth and families in our community.

Qualifications include: minimum three years of payroll compilation experience.  Strong verbal and written communications skills. Ability to accurately and quickly enter, manipulate and read data. Must be dependable, accurate, timely, detail oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.  Physical requirements include keyboarding, sitting for long periods, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Required intermediate level skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.  Will be trained in programs such as IOI Pay, CEO, HR Fusion and PeopleSoft accounting. Advanced keyboarding skills are needed - speed and accuracy of data entry is essential as are proofreading skills.  Online assessments will be conducted of top candidates to measure software skills and accuracy.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 PM.

The starting salary range is $15.50 to $17.50 per hour, depending on qualifications. Increases are based on performance.
